Why should I care about Marketing and AI?

I have confession to make - it wasn’t until the fall of 2024 that I truly realized how much AI will shape the future of marketing. I had been on study leave for almost 1,5 years and when I returned back on my desk, I started to study marketing trends again. Very soon I realized that during my leave the world has changed irreparably. Here I was sitting in the middle of silent turbulance - and in the middle of one of the history's biggest revolutions. And still for some reason, after returning to my corporate office desk - I only saw the old ways of working.
I realised I had no time to sit still - I was actually in rush to learn how AI is changing marketing. Development is happening on light speed and it's not only marketing professionals who should stay in speed - but also concious consumers, entrepreneurs and all content creators. This is why this blog is being written - to share information and learnings, I'm finding out myself. This is my learning process and you are welcome to hop on board.
I will be talking here about e.g. the enhanced personalization & data usage capabilities, how to benefit from AI and when it might actually harm your business, ethical issues of AI, why should companies train their own AI and different kind of AI tools, that you might want to take in use in your own marketing or content creation processes.
I also want to bring out the customer point of view. We must be more aware how our data is being used. Companies have been collecting data for a long time, but many of them haven't had sufficient resources to actually utilize the data - until now. AI can do the things in the blink of an eye, that earlier took analysts days, weeks or months to discover.
